My 'problem' was caused by a Filezilla setting, with which I download the files from my website to edit them in Notepad++. However, this may not work on the very long tokens like URLs.I've been struggling with the same issue for several years, but after reading this post and trying some settings in Notepad++ it didn't appear to be Notepad++ that's changing the LF or CR settings. You don’t need to install plugins for Notepad++ to complete this task when it can be done by existing tools. By using the replace tool we can easily add a command for numbers of characters to find and replace it with a new line.

This method can help the users with keeping lines up to limited characters, unlike the above method which keeps the lines equal to the width of the window.
